Manar Thon, market leader in Tunisia since 1983, specialises in canned tuna, which it markets under its famous El Manar brand.

Its factory, located near the port of Zarzis (Tunisia), combines traditional recipes with ultra-modern equipment. Most of the production is carried out manually by the expert hands of the workers, using an inimitable ancestral know-how that guarantees unique quality.

Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) is one of the most heavily fished species of tuna in the world. Recognisable by its spindle-shaped body, steel-blue back and silvery-white belly, it is a species that lives in warm waters, often at depths of up to 500 m. With a lifespan of between 6 and 18 years, yellowfin tuna can weigh up to 200 kg and measure 2.50 m when fully grown.
